Today is Cinco de Mayo. It’s the Spanish word for “May the 5th”. Humans observe this date to commemorate the Mexican Army epic victory over French invaders at the Battle of Puebla that took place on May 5, 1862, under the strong leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.
Cats also celebrate this day of Victory as Cinco de Meow, literally translates to “Meow the 5th”.
